The 29th annual USS Gearing reunion was held in
Washington, D.C. from May 12 to 16, 2016,
hosted by Nancy and Frank Goetschius (LTjg 63-65).

Home base was the Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport Hotel
at Herndon, Virginia with a visit to the U.S. Navy Memorial
and Heritage Center where a plaque was dedicated for
USS Gearing DD-710. Numerous side trips were made to
Washington D.C. sites as well as Arlington Cemetery
and the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum's
Udvar Hazy Center.
